A good neat Chinese leaf, Keemun Black Aster is a bright infusion, with a deep and slightly nutty character.

This tea comes from Quimen (Keemun) in the Anhui tea-growing province and is in the tea experts list of the ‘ten famous teas‘ or best teas that China has to offer.

It is believed by many that tea growing and drinking began in China. Legend tells how in 2,737BC Emperor Shen Nung was sitting beneath a Camellia tree when a few leaves dropped from the branches and landed in the water he was boiling. Tea has been synonymous with China ever since and China still remains one of the largest tea producing countries in the world.

Brew with freshly drawn boiled water for 3-5 minutes.
